WOW Rotherham is returning on Saturday 10th May 2025 11am – 4pm and we are on the lookout to add to our already amazing programme from across South Yorkshire.
The WOW Rotherham festival is a vibrant, colourful, bold, fun, and fearless festival celebration of women, girls, trans and non-binary communities, connecting Rotherham to other women and girls across the globe as part of the WOW – Women of the World family.
As part of WOW Rotherham Year Round, we are looking for community members, groups and artists to apply for a slot at our annual WOW Rotherham Festival.
We are looking (and not limited to) the following:
- Solo Acts
- Bands
- Musicians
- Singers
- Poets
- Comedians
- Community Groups
- Theatre Groups
- Dance Groups
- Performers
- Charities
- Local speakers
Your work must be a celebration of Women, relevant to the lives of women, trans and non-binary people. And one of our five core themes:
- Women’s health, anything from sexual health to menopause
- Parenting and relationships
- Mental Health and wellbeing
- Gender Identity
- Body Positivity
It is open to all people of any age and gender and sets can be at length from 20 minutes to an hour. Please ensure that your work is connected to women, trans and nonbinary people. This is a paid opportunity, and you need to state your own fee in the application.
WOW Rotherham can provide support, speakers, technical support and an MC to welcome each act. There will be a main stage, a smaller stage and pop-ups located across Rotherham Town Centre.
You must be able to provide the following if you are successful with your application:
- Be available between 11am – 4pm on Saturday the 10th May 2025
- Be able to provide a copy of your Public Liability Insurance
- A copy of your risk assessment
- Have a bank account to receive payments/cheques
