Lauren Townsend and Kerry Lindeque are part of the team behind Angry Girls Collective, they will be taking part in the Local Conversations panel.

In times when patriarchy and injustice aims to stifle our anger and power, there was a need to create a local safe and inclusive space for women and gender-diverse people to share their experiences, emotions, and ideas and use art to channel these into positive change. Thus the Angry Girls Collective was born: a South Yorkshire-based programme where participants can engage with art and grow their creative skills to platform and develop local activism and advocacy. Join our free workshops led by local marginalised gender artists and activists to challenge misconceptions of female anger, platform local voices, and learn creative skills, including poetry, zine making, performing arts, photography, and filmmaking.
