From a small town in southern Italy to the UK’s biggest cities, Leeds based up-and-coming indie artist Runa is to keep an eye on. With influences from artists such as Florence and The machine and P.J Harvey, the European artist is already Leeds’ most talked-about witch.

Her next musical journey will commence with “Are You Lost?” her latest single, released through Launchpad+.

Why did you want to be part of WOW Rotherham?

I have had the pleasure of working with many talented performers around the city that allowed me to meet and collaborate with what is now my session band, which is what gave birth to RUNA as a project. RUNA is all about beng powerful, and being a woman. My music is the embrace of my femininity and the way I express it, and I think WOW would be an incredible opportunity for my band an I to put on a show – Runa
