Nestled in Rotherham’s historic High Street for over a decade, The Makers Emporium has been a thriving hub for independent businesses and local makers. Home to over 30 creatives—including JAM, Artworks, Luke Horton Art, Yorkshire Candle Company, Choklet, and more — this shared retail space is packed with unique treasures.

The Emporium also houses Rotherham’s Visitors Centre, making it a one-stop destination for gifts that cater to all tastes and budgets. From cushions and coasters to jewellery, candles, and locally inspired artwork, there’s something special for everyone.

The Meaning of WOW

WOW Rotherham is a movement that celebrates unity, raises awareness of challenges faced by women, girls, and non-binary individuals, and promotes meaningful conversations to find solutions.

For over ten years, The Emporium has championed more than 200 local makers and businesses. We’ve provided a supportive space for entrepreneurs, offering managed retail opportunities to showcase and sell their creations. Since 2014, we’ve uplifted talented women, trans, and non-binary makers—welcoming business owners, customers, apprentices, work placements, and staff into our vibrant community.
