Lauren is an early years specialist and mother to two teenage children. She is a local lass who is passionate about helping other mothers thrive through empowerment and developing and building on existing skills. Having had her children at a young age Lauren is committed to fighting the stigma around teenage pregnancy and lone parenting. Lauren has worked within local schools, in the community and for the VCS sector. She currently works within the locality delivering and managing the ParentChild+ programme in Rotherham – a home-based learning programme which promotes learning through play, school readiness and a secure attachment between parent and child. When not at work Lauren runs a successful local craft group which aims to unite people and help tackle loneliness and isolation in the community.
